Kevin McCarthy, SEP, CAR

Somatic Therapist, Advanced Rolfer™

Kevin McCarthy is a Somatic Experiencing® Practioner (SEP) and Advanced Rolfer™(CAR), specializing in the effects of trauma and chronic pain on the body. 

Originally trained in Boulder, Colorado at the Rolf Institute® for Structural Integration, with further training in trauma work through the Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Institute, Kevin’s specialized practice brings a deep and studied knowledge of the body together with an appreciation for the impact of the mind and perception on our own ability to heal. 

He has additional training in osteopathic manipulation, cranial sacral therapy, visceral manipulation, energy work, trauma therapy, myofascial release, and holds an Advanced certification in Rolfing® Structural Integration and a specialized certification in Rolf Movement. He is board-certified by the International Association of Structural Integrators®.

Kevin’s 10+ years of experience, along with these many and diverse skills are combined into powerful sessions dedicated to helping people find depth and meaning in their own healing experience. Kevin’s sessions are a surprising and effective mix of talk therapy, manual intervention and movement exploration structured to support the client’s realization of their emotional, mental and physical health in a safe and welcoming environment.


Carrie Miller, MA LMFT


Carrie Miller is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in the the impact of trauma on relationships. Carrie works with individuals, couples and families to both minimize the impacts of trauma on relationships and to harness the power of relationship to heal the impacts of trauma on the individual and family. 

Whether you are seeking services as an individual, couple or family, Carrie’s approach is systemic and wholistic.

Carrie has specialized training in several approaches to trauma healing including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as intensive training by Robert Rhoton, PsyD, LPC, who has developed a system of trauma healing for families. Carrie has completed all of the training necessary to become a Certified Family Trauma Professional. She has also been trained in a best practice therapy for couples, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which is particularly helpful in working with trauma because of its deep understanding of attachment patterns developed in childhood and how these patterns impact adult relationships. 

Carrie has practiced meditation for over 20 years and utilizes mindfulness, meditation and breath work a great deal in her work with clients. 

Carrie is committed to a continual self-reflective and growth process, understanding and challenging her own privilege and bias and she works hard to be ever more effective at holding a healing space for anyone who seeks her services. Carrie is fluent in Spanish and has over 15 years experience working with Latino families in Minneapolis.


Jessica Finney, MA, LAMFT


Jessica Finney is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) specializing in the impacts of trauma at any age on individuals, families, and communities. She supports people in their desire to live their best lives by tapping into their inner strengths and learning new strategies. 

With over 18 years working in professional theater, education, and mental health settings, Jessica brings a creative, holistic approach to her work. Her experience in multiple settings (in-home, classroom, day treatment, residential, and outpatient clinic) with a range of clients (as young as 2 and as wise as 72, including those with diverse neural and developmental backgrounds) allow for a well-rounded understanding of developmental trajectories as well as the impact of trauma and other mental health concerns across a lifespan. She acknowledges all the different parts within each of us and works with clients to integrate those parts into the healthy person everyone has the potential to be. 

Jessica enjoys working creatively and collaboratively in individual and family sessions that focus on the whole person and the systems of which they are a part. Life is complex, and she brings a realistic, empathetic, and non-judgemental presence to witness and support clients as they explore whatever brings them to therapy. She is socially conscious, LGBTQ friendly, and does her best to be culturally aware, including being aware of her privilege and how it impacts the systems within which she interacts. Jessica would be honored to be a part of your journey.

Amanda Leaveck

Yoga teacher in partnership with Mend Therapy

Amanda's deep understanding of the human body comes through formal education, hands on work with clients, independent studies and over ten years of teaching yoga and dance.  In addition to her college background in neuroscience, she graduated from the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in 2017, where she focused on the relationship between connective tissue and the nervous system.  She is currently a yoga teacher, wellness consultant, and lifestyle blogger.  Her science-based approach to wellness is ignited by intuition, presence, and a deep reverence for the unknown. Visit her website www.amandaleaveck.com to learn more.


Tristan Koepke

Yoga Teacher in partnership with Mend Therapy

Tristan Koepke is a certified Rolfer™, yoga teacher, movement educator, and dancer based in Minnesota.  After graduating from the Rolf Institute in 2016, Tristan began his work, Postural Therapies, combining his years of movement and Structural Integration experience. He works directly with clients and students to facilitate holistic posture changes to alleviate pain, stress and discomfort.  Tristan has taught yoga in many studios since 2010, currently offering regular Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative classes at Fusion Yoga in Eagan, MN, as well as The Firm in Minneapolis.  Outside of the office,Tristan maintains a professional dance career performing with Zenon Dance Company, and is an Associate Director at the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, ME.  Tristan is thrilled to collaborate with Mend Therapy on offering movement, Yoga, and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga classes and workshops.
