BIG FEELINGS! (a mini-workshop for families)
Heart-centered and brain-based approaches for how to be effective when things get difficult
This experiential workshop will consist of 2 parts:
• 30 min. discussion with parents (childcare provided by licensed mental health professional)
• 30 min. family activity time
The workshop is designed to:
Begin to demystify your child’s irrational behavior and dysregulation
Give you practical tools to respond effectively to challenging behavior and to connect with your child as a calm, regulatory partner (even when you’re triggered)
Provide an opportunity to practice with your kids through a fun, structured activity designed to foster closeness and connection

About the Trainer
Jessica Finney is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 18 years working in mental health, education, and professional theater settings.
